As Keçiören Municipality, we act with a fair, transparent and participatory understanding of local governance that meets the needs of all our citizens and enhances their quality of life. Our aim is to ensure that our residents live in a peaceful, safe and happy environment, while preserving our cultural values and building the future with modern urban practices.
The fundamental mission of our municipality is to create a city environment where, with a human-oriented management approach, every individual feels safe, at peace and valued. In this direction:
1. Accessibility and Justice in Service
Providing equal service to all citizens is our top priority. Taking into account the needs of all segments of society—from persons with disabilities to the elderly, from children to young people—we put social municipalism into practice. By offering infrastructure and services that ensure full and equal participation in city life, we aim to strengthen social cohesion.
2. Transparent and Participatory Governance
We adopt an accountable and transparent management approach that encourages public participation in decision-making processes and we carry out municipal services together with our citizens. We consider it our duty to remain in constant dialogue in order to produce fast and effective solutions to the demands of the people of Keçiören.
3. Social and Cultural Development
By preserving Keçiören’s rich cultural heritage, we prioritize projects that will enliven social life. Through cultural and artistic events that appeal to all segments of society, we undertake the mission of transforming Keçiören into a center of culture and art. We continue to develop education, sports and social projects to ensure that our young people and women take a more active role in social life.
4. Environment-Friendly and Sustainable Urbanism
By protecting natural resources, we implement the principles of sustainable urbanism with the aim of leaving a more livable Keçiören to future generations. By increasing green spaces, promoting recycling projects and implementing environmentally friendly energy solutions, we are building a city structure that is in harmony with nature.
5. Economic Development and Employment
To strengthen Keçiören’s local economy, increase employment and raise the welfare level of our citizens, we implement projects that support local businesses and encourage entrepreneurship. We develop economic development programs that will create new job opportunities especially for our young people and women.

OUR VISION
As a municipality, we are taking strong steps to make Keçiören a more livable, sustainable and happy city. Under the leadership of Dr. Mesut Özarslan, Keçiören is governed with a vision that will make it a pioneer of modern and social municipalism. This vision is shaped both by preserving the values we inherit from the past and by implementing strong projects for the future.
1. “Barrier-Free Keçiören” Project
We are creating an accessible and barrier-free city in which all individuals in Keçiören have equal opportunities. In particular, we will launch full-accessibility projects on roads, in parks, social facilities and public spaces to ensure that our citizens with disabilities participate more actively in social life. Supported by technological solutions, these projects aim to remove barriers and build a more livable city for everyone.
2. Environment and Sustainability
Protecting Keçiören’s natural resources and pursuing a sustainable environmental policy are among our greatest priorities. By increasing green areas, expanding recycling activities and promoting the use of clean energy, we aim to make Keçiören an environmentally friendly city. At the same time, investments will be made for the protection of water resources, energy efficiency and the reduction of our carbon footprint.
3. Cultural and Social Development
Comprehensive social and cultural projects will be implemented to preserve and promote Keçiören’s cultural richness. With the Keçiören Culture Route and various cultural festivals, we aim to pass on our city’s history and values to younger generations. In addition, we will accelerate social development through education and vocational training programs that increase the participation of our young people and women in social life.
4. Smart City Keçiören
In harmony with an increasingly digital world, we will equip Keçiören with smart city applications and ensure that municipal services become more accessible and efficient in digital environments. With technological infrastructures such as smart transportation, energy management and environmental monitoring systems, we will both improve quality of life and enhance safety in our city.
5. Urban Transformation and Infrastructure Investments
Modern urban transformation projects will be implemented in line with Keçiören’s rapidly developing structure. Safe housing will be built in areas at earthquake risk and new living spaces surrounded by green areas will be created. Strengthening the transportation infrastructure, solving traffic problems and developing smart transportation systems are also important components of these projects.
6. Economic Development and Employment
To revitalize the local economy, projects that support entrepreneurs will be launched and economic incentive programs will be established to strengthen small tradespeople. With projects that will create employment, especially for young people and women, Keçiören will become one of Ankara’s production hubs.
