Children’s Development Centers

• Our municipality operates 3 Children’s Development Centers.

• Our Children’s Development Centers serve children in the 36–66 month age group.

• Opening time of our Children’s Development Centers is 07:30, closing time is 17:30.

• A total of 305 children benefit from our Children’s Development Centers, which provide quality service at an affordable fee.

• We serve our children with specialist staff and teachers. We help raise their awareness in the fields of culture, arts and science, and we organize activities in cooperation with embassies so that they can learn about different countries and cultures.

How Do We Work?

• The aim of the programs we implement is to provide experiential learning and to respond to the needs of each child as their awareness of the world develops.

• In the Children’s Development Centers, we implement child-centred, family-participation-based programs that support creativity and are built on universal values such as gender equality, ecological thinking, freedom, equality, contemporary life, peace and friendship.

• Each group provides developmentally appropriate materials and activities for children, encouraging a positive self-concept and supporting their social/emotional, intellectual, aesthetic and psychomotor development.

• Through planned activities, children are guided to discover new ideas, develop and expand problem-solving skills, language and concepts; a sense of competence and self-esteem is encouraged.

• The activity process adds many new values to children; art and sports activities are among the most important of these.

• At the Children’s Development Centers, music, chess, painting, physical education and dance activities are offered to develop children’s intuition and skills for artistic self-expression.

GÜLÜCÜK CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

Gülücük Child Development Center, located in Yükseltepe neighbourhood, has a unique architectural design and landscaping, and serves with its own children’s playground and garden in its yard.

• Inside the center there are 4 classrooms, a nap room and a dining hall.

• Our Children’s Development Center, which has a capacity of 48 students, provides full-time service between 08:00 and 17:00 for children aged 36–66 months.

• Children’s development is supported through branches such as English, music, gymnastics, folk dances, mind games, visual arts, drama, storytelling and values education workshops.

• At the Children’s Development Center, three meals a day are provided: breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack.

• Our nurse, psychological counselor and child development specialist visit our Children’s Development Center once every fifteen days.

• We do not provide shuttle (transport) service.
