Established in 1996 and covering an area of 42,600 m², Atatürk Botanical Park welcomes visitors at the southern entrance of Keçiören. The park, featuring hundreds of plants, walking paths, and its magnificent natural scenery, is a popular destination for residents who enjoy morning exercises. With its clean air, the park serves as one of Ankara’s “lungs” and hosts visitors throughout the year.

Also known as Atatürk Garden, this large park includes facilities to meet visitors’ needs, such as restrooms, prayer rooms (masjids), tea gardens, and drinking fountains. In short, it is one of Keçiören residents’ favorite parks for going out and relaxing.

The park has an 800-meter running track (round-trip), a male and a female restroom, a male and a female prayer room, 13 gazebos, 15 tables, 18 benches, a waterfall, an ornamental well-shaped waterfall, a set of fitness equipment, a children’s playground set with play elements, the monument of Kazakh poet Magjan Jumabay, and 69 plant species totaling 8,500 plants.
